1. Introduction & Overview
Awaaz ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Awaaz mobile application and associated online platform. We are dedicated to maintaining the trust and confidence of our users. This Privacy Policy details how we collect, use, process, and protect your information when you interact with our audio streaming, ebook reader, news aggregator, and rewards systems.
2. Information We Collect
A. Account Credentials & Profile Data
When creating an account via Firebase Authentication or Google Sign-In, we collect your name, email address, profile picture URL, and unique account identifier (UID).
B. Voice & Audio Data (Microphone Permission)
Our application includes a Voice Search feature utilizing Android's standard Speech Recognizer. When you activate voice search, audio input is captured temporarily and processed solely for transcribing your spoken queries into search terms. We do NOT record, upload, store, or sell any of your voice or microphone audio recordings on external servers.
C. Wallet & Redemption Details
If you participate in our referral and rewards system, we process your referral code, point balance, and any withdrawal details (e.g. payout method, account identifier) strictly to process your requested transfers.
D. Device & Analytical Data
We automatically collect non-personally identifiable diagnostic data including device model, operating system version, crash diagnostics, and Advertising Identifiers (via Google Mobile Ads SDK) to guarantee app reliability and serve relevant advertisements.
3. Third-Party Service Providers & SDKs
To ensure high-fidelity streaming, secure authentication, and targeted experiences, Awaaz integrates trusted industry-standard SDKs:
- Google Play Services & Firebase: Authentication, Cloud Firestore data management, and Cloud Messaging (FCM) notifications.
- Google Mobile Ads (AdMob): Displays advertisements. AdMob may collect and process device Advertising IDs to provide contextual and personalized ads per Google's ad policies.
- Supabase: Used as a secure content delivery endpoint for public articles and news catalog synchronization.
4. User Data Control & Account Deletion
In accordance with Google Play Developer policies, you have complete sovereignty over your data and can permanently delete your account at any moment:
In-App Deletion: Open Awaaz → Navigate to Settings → Tap "Delete Account" → Confirm deletion.
Triggering account deletion permanently wipes your Firestore profile record, removes pending redemption logs, and deletes your Firebase Authentication profile. You may also request manual data wiping by emailing our privacy team at Mrshahbaz365@gmail.com.
5. Rewards & Non-Affiliation Disclaimer
Awaaz rewards and referral points are independently managed by Awaaz and our administrative team. Google LLC is not a sponsor, partner, or in any way affiliated with any reward, giveaway, point accumulation, or withdrawal program within the Awaaz application.
6. Children's Privacy & Age Limits
Awaaz does not knowingly collect or solicit personal data from children under the age of 13. If we become aware that we have collected information from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent, we immediately delete that data from our production databases.
